About Nor'easter Knits

I grew up in the greatest place on earth- the "Northeast Kingdom" of Vermont, also known as the "The Kingdom".  Long, very cold winters with piles & piles of snow was such a delight as a kid!  We had the most amazing sledding parties and spent every second we could building snow forts and ice skating on flooded fields and frozen ponds. Pure Bliss......as long as you had the right gear to keep you warm! I wore bread bags over my socks to keep my feet dry in my hand-me-down boots, but I always had warm handmade hats, mittens and scarves.  What a treat!

New England winters are fierce, especially with those Nor'easter storms that dump dozens of inches of snow and bring howling winds that chill you to the core.  Those who know me, know I am always cold and wear jackets on even the warmest days of the summer.  But those Nor'easter storms are still my favorite events every year!  The aftermath is so beautiful and peaceful and brings me such comfort.

My hand-knit items are designed and carefully made with the finest yarns I can find to keep you cozy and toasty warm throughout all of the seasonal challenges we face here in New England and beyond.  Having a luxurious hat, scarf, cowl mittens or blanket makes weathering those storms a bit more bearable!
